Webinar Description

MSIM and nationally renowned integrative medicine attorney Alan Dumoff will lead a town hall discussion regarding current issues affecting the risk of integrative medicine practice in our State, particularly related to the manner in which peer review activities of the Maryland Board of Physicians are conducted and national trends in legal and regulatory policy affecting integrative practice.  This is an opportunity for licensed practitioners to engage in a dialogue with the MSIM and each other about how best to continue work with the Board of Physicians, whether the MSIM should offer peer reviewers and issue guidelines on controversial therapies, and how we can work together to enhance appropriate and legally defensible practice in the face of institutional skepticism.
